Signs that tell visitors which door is which
- A door that a visitor could mistake for a way out gets a “Not an exit” sign or one saying where it really leads, such as “Shop” (1910.37(b)(5)).
- Each exit route is lit well enough for someone with normal vision to see along it (1910.37(b)(1)).
- Exit signs are illuminated and distinctive in color, with “Exit” in letters at least 6 inches high (1910.37(b)(6) and (b)(7)).
